The Creative Curriculum offers teachers the guidance, support and freedom to be creative and responsive to children. Because children learn from their daily interactions with the environment, a carefully organized and rich environment is the foundation for this guide.
The Creative Curriculum focuses on interest areas such as blocks, dramatic play, manipulative toys, art, sand and water, library, music and movement, cooking, computers and outdoor play.
The teachers and assistants use each area to support the children’s development. In addition, activities for each month are centered around themes. These specific themes help children learn about the world around them.
